Discovering Vancouver - 1855 Vine Street, Kitsilano
May 10th, 2008 Categories: Discovering Vancouver, Kitsilano, Vancouver Real Estate

1855 Vine Street is a stylish character Landmark in the heart of Vancouver’s Kitsilano.
The building is Beaux Arts style that was a former Presbyterian Sabbath School circa 1911 and is made up of larger 2 bedrooms suites over 1200 sq.ft. It was converted to condos in the 1980s.
Currently #2 is for sale, just over 1200 sq.ft. $1,275,000. This heritage loft conversion was completely renovated to the highest quality of material & craftsmanship throughout. Exhibiting an elaborate portico of sandstone, 3ft thick brick walls & solid massive wooden beams, these are the original features of this romantic signature building on top of a hill. In 1985, architect Donald O’Callaghan modernized the inside of the Italianate shell into 5 unique 2 storey private residences of timeless quality. The suite has a 580 sq.ft. deck.
Do you know of other Kits condo buildings that are beautiful heritage style buildings that have been converted?

The hood is now built out and contains more than 1000 condos and townhomies, in over 12 buildings. There was quite an outcry from the hood in the initial planning stages as the City wanted to build midrise condos. Read the rest of this entry »

The best 1 bedroom & den in Kits
A couple of weeks ago I received a referral from a Calgary agent. She told me the I would be one of three agents that the Seller would be interviewing. It took us a while to connect because the Seller travels all the time. I was delighted when we finally got to meet a couple of days ago and more delighted to leave the condo with a listing in hand. The Kits Point Dream Lives
April 10th, 2008 Categories: Kitsilano, Vancouver Real Estate
Last week some clients closed on a Kits Point studio condo at 1450 Laburnum.
It seemed like the right fit for my clients who are a young couple that already live a block away and wished to buy an investment condo in their neighbourhood.
The studio at 1450 Laburnum is one of the best renovations I’ve seen in a long time, on a low priced suite. The owners literally gutted this 438 sq.ft. studio with a large private patio, even installed new windows, all new bathroom and kitchen and a Murphy bed. It comes with one secured parking and locker.
