BCREA reports that the dollar volume of British Columbia homes sold on MLS  declined 26.5 %  in March compared to Mar’11. There was also a decline of 20 per cent. in residential sales for the same period, bringing the average price for residential units to  $545,959 , a 8.1% drop from March 2011.

townhomes up to 68 (peaked in Jun’09 at 123)

condos up to 396 (topped in Jun’09 at 826 sales)

How’s the Vancouver real estate market? What did the average sale price do in March?

Houses topped at $2,790,531 in Dec’11 and are now $2,400,672 (equal to May’11)

Townhomes topped at $1,030,800 in Jan’10 and now sit at $979,510. (equal to Apr’11)

Condos topped at $683,322 in Feb’12 and are now at $617,942, (equal to  Feb’10).
