Vancouver Sun Run
April 22nd, 2008 Categories: Vancouver Events, Vancouver Real Estate
Vancouver Sun Run held on Sunday, April 20th broke many records.
The 24th Sun Run broke a record for lowest temperature on that day, the highest number of participants (over 59,000) from all over the world.
The first Sun Run in 1985 started with about 3700 people. In 2006 it ranked the 3rd largest race in the world. It is Canada’s largest 10K run. Other interesting facts. The race is not a charity event, however, the organizers claim that over $l.l million has been donated since 1985. The purpose of the race is promote health, fitness and community spirit and to support amateur athletics.
Did you run? Was the weather detrimental to your performance?
