Who are the Vancouver Home Buyers?

The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver recently carried out a home sellers and buyers survey and here is what they found about home-buyers:
*about six-in-ten are female
*about half are age 45 years and younger
*the majority (more than 7 in 10) of all buyers are married or living common law
*their typical household size is 2.7 persons
* about 6 in 10 have a university degree or college diploma
*one in ten work from home and another one in ten do so at least part of the time
*one third are born in BC
*a language other than English is spoken in 18% of their households
