Shopping at Kitsilano’s Parthenon Market

Shopping in Kitsilano is always a delight, and at 3080 Broadway, across from the wonderful Vancouver Kidsbooks, is the venerable Parthenon Supermarket.
As you know, Kits used to be the Greek part of town, and the Parthenon reminds us of those days. Not only can you buy delicious baklava from their deli section, there’s a wide selection of olives and other Greek specialties.

Down the block, a sidewalk sale of children’s dresses sway in the breeze, near the local second-run movie house, Hollywood Theatre.
